Program of Work

  • Recruit new members and partners
  • Identify strategic partners for increased cross-communication to target groups
    • Biobanks, researchers
  • Expand GGBN online collections, fill in gaps with target projects
  • Raise awareness of ABS and importance of genomic collections

Current Activities

  • Developing benefits-focused promotional material for collections and researchers, including a strategy document with target goals for 2025.
  • Performing user experience review of the GGBN website to inform redesign of the website’s architecture.
  • Expanding GGBN online collections through member recruitment and support, partnership development, and the GGBN-GGI Awards Program.
  • Filling gaps in tutorials for making genetic collections discoverable
  • Promote awareness of genetic sample information through the website, social media, listserv, annual newsletter, workshops and conferences
  • Engaging genetic collections and genetic collections users through social media (English, Spanish and Chinese speaking platforms), GGBN website, listservs, and meetings
